The Hebrew Free Loan Association of Greater Washington (HFL) (Lender) is proud to provide zero-interest loans to qualified Jewish borrowers (Borrower) in the DC metro area to help them start or grow a new business.
Before filling out this form, all applicants should first complete the general loan form.
Please note that even though this loan is to assist with a business, the loan is the the individual, not directly to the business.

In order to best evaluate your application, HFL requests additional documentation on the business. Please note that many of these reports should be easily from the business bookkeeping software (if applicable) or created in a simple format. Applicants can share a business plan or other documents that were created for other purposes.
If any of these reports are challenging to procure or time consuming for the applicant, please be in touch with Shuli Tropp, Executive Director, to discuss your application and documentation.
Documents requested:
Business Plan: This does not need to be created for HFL, applicant can use whatever they already have
Profit and Loss Statement: Please include from inception to today for a start up or the past 2-3 years for a more established business. Newer startups should also included projected financials.
Balance Sheet
Cash Flow Statement: This is optional but recommended, if available.
Tax documents:
LLC: provide Schedule C
Investing Entity: K1
C or S Corp: Business tax return
Sources and Uses Statement: Please attached if this is not already included in the business plan.
Other Debt: Please provide any debt associated with the business including line of credit.
Three year budget: Please use this budget to show projected revenue and expenses.
Certificate of Good Standing: If available, please provide from the state.
